Sometimes the old ones are the best with a twist. English Trifle is a fancy combination of cream, fruits and jelly. This English dessert is the perfect way to end your meal.

Ingredients

  • Cake 1 pound
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla custard powder 4 tbsp
  • Cream 1 packet
  • Fruit syrup 1 cup
  • Fruit cocktail 1 tin
  • Strawberry jelly 1 packet
  • Banana jelly 1 packet
  • Yellow jelly 1 packet
  • Almonds for garnishing

Cooking Directions

  1. Take 1/2 cup milk from 1 liter milk and keep aside.

  2. Then add remaining milk and sugar in a wok/pan.

  3. Mix vanilla custard powder in cold milk. Mix well.

  4. Add custard in milk. When it will cooked then cool it for a while.

  5. Now add cream and mix well.

  6. Place cake in a tray and put fruit syrup, fruit cocktail, banana jelly, yellow jelly and strawberry jelly over cake.

  7. Now pour custard mixture over it and let it cool now.

  8. Garnish with almonds and serve.
