Badam ka seera is a traditional Indian dessert, usually serve at Hindu festival "Diwali". Badam ka Seera is made of almonds, milk, sugar and shee.

Ingredients

  • Almonds (soaked overnight) 1, 1/2 cup
  • Hot milk 3 cup
  • Ghee 250 gm
  • Sugar 1/2 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel the almonds, wash and grind to fine paste.

  2. Heat ghee in a heavy pan.

  3. Add paste and cook first on high then low flame, stirring continuously.

  4. After a while it should turn light brown and aromatic.

  5. Carefully pour hot milk and stir.

  6. Use a long-handled spatula as the mixture tends to splatter.

  7. When thickens, add the sugar and cook, stirring continuously and gently till ghee begins to separate.

  8. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot.
