  • Kerry 1 kg
  • Sugar 1 kg
  • Water 3 cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Citric acid 1 tsp leveled
  • Meta bi sulphate 1/8 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash kerries, boil till soft.

  2. Peel and remove pulp and blend.

  3. Strain pulp with a fine muslin.

  4. Cook sugar and water till thick, remove and cool.

  5. Add kerry mixture with salt, citric acid dissolved in ¼ cup water, meta bisulphate dissolved in water, pour in sterilized bottles.

  6. Fill with sharbat, use after 5 days.

  1. Parveen, Meta bi sulphate is a preservative. By adding it you can use Kerry Ka Sharbat for atleast 2 weeks.

  3. I have tried this receipe and the result will be better if the green mango is peeled and chopped the seed can be discarded. The boiling should be done so well, so that the fruit turn mushy n soft. The sugar should be half the quantity of the fruit if one kg fruit so use half kg sugar. Everyone does not appreciate extra sugar. After the boiled fruit is blended to a smooth puree cook it for a few minutes with the sugar syrup. Cool n bottle, this way if you want to avoid putting the preservatives the juice will still remain fresh.
