Wonton or Wanton is a form of dumpling presented by a number of Chinese cuisines. Wonton is basically a flat sheet stuffed with a variety of fillings. Wontons can be sealed in any desired shape making sure all the air is extracted out. Wontons are commonly boiled in soup and served in it. Sometimes wontons are deep fried and served with a dip.

  • Rolls pati 6 sheets
  • Chicken mince ½ cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Green onion 3
  • Cabbage half
  • Garlic as required
  • Oil for fry
  • Egg 1
  • All purpose flour ½ cup
  • For Dip Sauce:
  • Garlic 1 tbsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce ½ cup
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Water 1, ½ cup
  • Corn flour 1, ½ tbsp
  • Salt 1 pinch

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil in the pan and fry garlic.

  2. Then add chicken and fry for five minutes on high flame.

  3. Then add salt, cabbage and onion and cook further for 2 to 3 minutes.

  4. Now put flour and egg in bowl and mix well to form a sticky paste.

  5. Then apply paste on the edges of roll sheets.

  6. Now fill chicken wonton mixture in the roll sheets and seal extracting all the air out.

  7. Now deep fry the wontons.

  8. Tasty fried chicken wonton is ready to serve.

  9. For Dip Sauce: Heat oil in the pan and fry garlic.

  10. Now add oyster sauce, salt, sugar and water and boil for three minutes.

  11. Then add corn flour and simmer it till thick.

  12. Pour in a serving bowl, sauce is ready.
