Ingredients

  • Round gourd 1 kg (small size)
  • Onion 250 gm (finely chopped)
  • Tomato ½ kg (finely chopped)
  • Green chili 10 (chopped)
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil as required
  • All spice ½ tsp (ground)
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel round gourd and wash them.

  2. Then make cuts on each round gourd with knife.

  3. Heat oil in a skillet and put rounded gourd one by one, fry till light brown and keep aside.

  4. Similarly, fry all gourd with this way.

  5. Take 4 tablespoons oil from gourd skillet and put into another pan/pot.

  6. Heat oil and add onions.

  7. When onion becomes soft then add ginger garlic paste, red chilies, turmeric and salt and cook for a while.

  8. Stir spoon and then add tomatoes and fry on low flame.

  9. Now keep fried round gourd over this spice mixture.

  10. Stir spoon once until spice mix with gourd.

  11. Now put all spice and simmer for 2 minutes.

  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and green chilies.

  13. Delicious round gourd dish is ready to serve.
