Ingredients

  • Okra 1/2 kg
  • Tomatoes (chopped) 250 grams
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Green chillies 6
  • Onions (chopped) 2
  • Lemon 1
  • Ginger (finely sliced) 1 medium piece
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Hot spices powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger/garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pot and add onions to it.

  2. When onions become golden, add curry leaves, ginger and ginger/garlic paste.

  3. Stir for a while and then add okra.

  4. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Now add tomatoes, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chat masala, red chilli powder, salt and hot spices powder. Stir well.

  6. Add 1/4 glass of water and let it cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

  7. When okra becomes tender, take it out in a dish, squeeze lemon over it and serve.
