  • Beef minced 300 gm
  • Rice 1 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • Chickpeas 2 tbsp (roasted)
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • All spice 1 tbsp
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies 2
  • For Pulao:
  • Rice 1 ½ cup
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Onion ¼ cup
  • Garlic and ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chili 4 – 5
  • Cloves 3
  • Cinnamon 1
  • Cumin ½ tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Red chili ½ tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Tomato 2

Cooking Directions

  1. For Kofta Balls: Grind rice, poppy seeds and chickpeas and make powder form.

  2. Now add turmeric powder, red chili, salt, all spice, ginger and green chilies in meat and chop in food processor.

  3. Take out minced meat in bowl and make kofta balls.

  4. For Pulao: Heat oil in pan and fry onions light golden.

  5. Then add garlic and ginger paste, green chilies, cloves, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, red chili, all spice and 2 cup of water.

  6. When it started to boil put tomatoes, rice and kofta balls.

  7. Now cook on slow flame.

  8. When water begins to dry then keep it on steam for 6 to 8 minutes on low flame.

  9. Delicious kofta tamatar pulao is ready to serve.
