Ingredients

  • Finely chopped radish 1, 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1-2 tsp
  • Mustard and cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp or to taste
  • Mango powder 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Oil as needed

Cooking Directions

  1. Apply a little salt to the chopped radish and keep aside for 1/2 hour.

  2. Drain off the liquid.

  3. Heat 2 tbsp of oil and add all the ingredients except for mango powder.

  4. Cover cook on low flame by adding a few drops of water till radish is softened and mashed up and browned.

  5. Put in the mango powder and serve with parathas.
