  • Green Mangoes 1/2 kg
  • Salt 1 tbsp
  • Sugar or molasses 1/2 kg

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash, peel and slice the mangoes. Boil in half cup of water.

  2. Press through a strainer.

  3. Mix in sugar or molasses and boil till sugar dissolves and looks like jam. Remove from heat.

  4. Spread ½ cm (1/4”) thin layer on a greased plain surface.

  5. Keep the tray and under the sun (the tray can be covered with a very fine cotton cloth) regularly 3 – 4 days.

  6. Dry mango chutney thoroughly turning over once or twice.

  7. Roll Mango Chutney. Put in a container keeping the cap loose.
