Thandai is an energetic drink, made with combination of almonds, Cashews, Fennel seeds, milk and whole milk. Must drink it in summer season.

Ingredients

  • Almonds ¼ cup
  • Cashews 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Black pepper corns 10
  • Poppy seeds 1 ½ tsp
  • Cardamom 5-6
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Whole milk ¾ cup
  • Sugar 5 tbsp
  • Saffron 6-7 strands
  • Sliced pistachio for garnish

Cooking Directions

  1. Grind together almonds, cashews, fennel seeds, black pepper corns, poppy seeds and cardamom into fine powder.

  2. Boil milk on medium flame for 10 minutes then add sugar and simmer 10 more minutes.

  3. Add saffron and remove from flame. Now add powdered ingredients and mix. Let cool it until come to room temperature.

  4. Cool it in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

  5. Strain milk, garnish with sliced pistachio and serve.
