Ingredients

  • Cauliflower 1 small (l lb)
  • Tomato 1 ripe
  • Meat 2 lb
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Cloves garlic 8
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Onions 2 large
  • Salt to taste
  • Grind the following spices:
  • Red dry chillies 6
  • Peppercorns 6
  • Cinnamon 1 inch piece
  • Cloves 4
  • Coriander 2 tbsp
  • Coconut 1 tbsp desiccated

Cooking Directions

  1. Clean and cut the meat into small pieces.

  2. Grind garlic and ginger to a fine paste.

  3. Rub the paste on to the meat and keep aside.

  4. Clean the cauliflower and cut up.

  5. Chop the onions finely and fry in hot ghee until light brown.Add ground spices and fry.

  6. Add the meat, chopped tomato and cauliflower.

  7. Fry for a minute, then add turmeric and enough water for meat to cook in.

  8. cover with a well fitting lid and cook until meat is tender.

  9. Sprinkle with salt. Cook for another 10 minutes.

  10. Before serving garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  11. Serve hot with chappatis.
