Bhelpuri is made from puffed rice and potatoes, this dish is usually served with tamarind sauce. A widely popular snack in Bombay. It was basically originated from Gujarat, but has now become a known characteristic of Bombay and Calcutta.

  • Puffed rice 3 cups
  • Peanut (roasted) 1/2 cup
  • Potato (boiled) 2
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Green corriander 1/2 bunch
  • Green chilli 2
  • Tamarind paste 1 cup
  • Green chutney 1/2 cup
  • Sev to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Dice the ptatoes.

  2. Chop the tomatoes, green chillies and green coriander.

  3. Now put all vegetables in a bowl.

  4. Add the sev, green chutney and tamarind paste.

  5. Also add puffed rice and roasted peanuts, mix them all well.

  6. Garnish with corriander leaves and serve.
