Elbow macaroni is the kind of pasta used in many dishes like salads, fritters, with cheese or cooked with chicken, veggies or beef mince. Here is the chaat recipe using elbow macaroni which is spicy and sweet in taste. A different chaat to serve for Iftar and tea parties.

Ingredients

  • Elbow Macaroni 1/2 cup
  • Chickpeas 1/2 cup (boiled)
  • Potatoes 2 (medium boiled)
  • Onion 1 small (chopped)
  • Fresh red tomatoes 2 (cubed)
  • Apple 1 large (cut in to chunks)
  • Green chili 1 (finely chopped)
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Fresh coriander 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • Castor sugar 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil macaroni following the directions written on the packet.

  2. In a large bowl add all the ingredients well.

  3. Serve with sweet tamarind chutney or can be served without chutney.
