Ingredients

  • Fish fillet ½ kg
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Soy sauce 2 tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 cup
  • For Coating:
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Garlic powder ½ tsp
  • Eggs (slightly beaten) 2
  • Bread crumbs 2 cups
  • Oil as required
  • For Tomato Basil Sauce:
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Garlic (crushed) 2 tbsp
  • Tomato puree ½ cup
  • Ketchup 4 tbsp
  • Basil 2 tbsp
  • Parsley (chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Red chilies (crushed) 1 tsp
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • For Topping:
  • Mushrooms (sliced) 3
  • Cheddar cheese 4 tbsp
  • Olives (sliced) 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum (thinly sliced) 1
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • For Herbed Rice:
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Garlic (crushed) 2 tbsp
  • Rice (boiled) 2 cups
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Soy sauce 2 tbsp
  • Spring onion (finely chopped) ½ cup

Cooking Directions

  1. For Herbed Rice: Heat the oil in a pan and sauté garlic in it.

  2. Add rice with salt, black pepper and soya sauces. Toss gently and mix in spring onion. Remove from heat and keep aside.

  3. For Fish: Marinate fish with salt, pepper, garlic, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce and lemon juice.

  4. Mix the flour with the garlic powder for coating.

  5. Coat the fish with dried flour then egg, and finally in bread crumbs.

  6. Pan fry or grill the fish.

  7. For Tomato Basil Sauce: Heat the oil in a pan. Add garlic, tomato puree, ketchup, basil, parsley, red chilies, paprika and salt.

  8. Cook for 2 minutes and remove.

  9. Assembling:To serve in oven proof dish, place grilled fish and pour tomato basil sauce over it.

  10. Sprinkle mushrooms, cheddar cheese, olives, capsicum and oregano.

  11. Bake for 15 minutes till cheese melts.

  12. Serve with herbed rice.
