Fry the cumin seeds, onion and fenugreek seeds in a little oil, then grind them finely.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Slit the potatoes and brinjals, stuff them with this paste.
Heat 8 tbsp oil in a vessel and put in the stuffed potatoes and brinjals, cook till they are tender and nicely browned.
