Ingredients

  • Butter 4 oz
  • Cooking chocolate 4 oz
  • Eggs 3
  • Brown Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cocoa Powder 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
  • Flour 1/2 cup
  • Bi-Carbonate soda 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Melt butter and cooking chocolate over a water bath until smooth.

  2. Add brown and white sugar, mix well and leave aside to cool.

  3. Now in a bowl beat the eggs along with the vanilla essence.

  4. Now pour in the chocolate mixture and mix well to combine.

  5. Then add the flour, cocoa powder and bi carbonate soda, mixing well to combine.

  6. Pour mixture into paper cups and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.

  7. Cool in the tray for 10 minutes and then cool completely on a wire rack.

  8. Tips: Don't over bake the cup cakes. The cupcakes are done when they are set and when you insert a toothpick in the center of one, there will be few moist crumbs clinging to the toothpick.
