In a dry frying pan fry cinnamon, dry red chilies, cloves, cumin and black pepper and grind them all together and make a powder.
In other wok heat 2 tbsp of oil, add ginger and garlic and fry till it get ripe.
Add the spice powder in it.
Then add beef undercut cubes and turmeric and saute for 1 minute.
Add 1 cup of water, tomato paste and red chili powder, covered the pan and let it cook on low flame.
In a meanwhile heat the remaining oil in a pan, add onion fry till golden brown then crush with your hands.
Remove the lid after 15-20 minutes.
Add crushed onion, salt, sugar, vinegar and saute for 2-4 minutes.
Delicious beef balchao is ready to serve.
