Ingredients

  • Beef Slices 2
  • White Bread (thick slices without crusts) 4
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Lettuce (Romaine if available)
  • Parmesan Cheese (shaved) 50 grams
  • For Dressing:
  • Anchovy Fillets 4
  • Garlic Clove (crushed) 1
  • Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise 1 cup
  • Pommery Mustard 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Grill beef slice until crisp and break into bite sized pieces.

  2. Cut bread slices into 2 cm (3/4 inches) cubes, fry in oil, tossing until golden brown on all sides, drain on paper towel.

  3. To make dressing place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until combined, adding salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Separate and wash lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry with clean tea towel.

  5. To assemble salad place lettuce leaves in a serving bowl or platter, scatter crispy cooked beef, croutons then drizzle the dressing.

  6. Top salad with the shaved parmesan.
