Learn how to prepare basic chicken stock by easy method. Chicken stock is served in winters, as it is and also use in other soups and dishes. This very tasty stock is prepared with chicken and some vegetables. You can freeze it for 2 weeks and use when needed.

  • Chicken 1 whole in pieces
  • Olive oil 1-2 tbsp
  • Onion 2 medium
  • Carrot 3 large (cut into small)
  • Stalk celery 2-3 (cut into small)
  • Water 8 pints
  • Few sprigs of fresh thyme and rosemary
  • Black peppercorn 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil put onion, carrot, celery to the large pot, cook stirring occasionally.

  2. Add chicken also add enough water, add herbs, salt and peppercorns.

  3. Add chicken to the pot add enough water add thyme, rosemary, peppercorn and salt.

  4. Increase flame and give boil.

  5. Reduce heat and let it cook till 4-5 hours. Strain and use.
