  • Sela Rice ½ kg (boiled)
  • Yellow food color ½ tsp
  • Clarified butter 250
  • Cardamom 6
  • Sugar 250 gm
  • Almonds and pistachio 2 tbsp
  • Saffron ½ tsp
  • Asharfiyan 2 tbsp
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • Coconut 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Solid milk 250
  • Kewra ½ tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In saucepan boil rice, along with this add yellow food color. Strain well.

  2. In another pan heat clarified butter along with cardamoms.

  3. When the aroma is given out, then add sugar along with half cup water.

  4. After this when sugar syrup is ready then add almonds, pistachio, saffron, asharfiyan, raisins, coconut, solid milk and kewra add into rice.

  5. Cook and cover for half an hour.

  6. Delicious Zaafrani Zarda Khoya is ready to serve.
