Stuffed green chilies is a condiment with sour and spicy flavor, best to be served with rice and lentils or else by any vegetable or curry. Its very easy and quick to make and can be preserved in refrigerator.

  • Mango powder 4 tbsp
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Onion 1 (raw, ground)
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Red chilies 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Onion seed 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seed ½ tsp
  • Water ¼ cup
  • Green chilies 10 - 15 (slit and removed seeds)

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix mango powder into a paste with 2 tbsp yogurt.

  2. Now stuff this paste in between the chilies.

  3. Heat oil and fry white cumin.

  4. Add onion and also fry.

  5. Add salt, turmeric, crushed cumin, red chili, onion seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and add ¼ cup water.

  6. Fry stuffed green chilies, cover and leave it on simmer for 10 minute.
