Chicken handi is not very different from regular chicken; ingredients are same the only variation lie in utensil. Chicken is cooked in a utensil named handi which alter the flavor of dish from normal chicken and also add the delectable aroma in it.

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Tomatoes ½ kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala powder 1 tsp
  • Ginger (chopped) 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 4
  • Lemons 2
  • Green coriander ½ bunch
  • Oil as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil in a handi and add chicken, chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam Masala powder, chopped ginger and green chilies and sauté.

  2. Cover and cook on low heat until the chicken is well done.

  3. When starts leaving the sides of handi, garnish it with green coriander and pour lemon juice.

  4. Serve hot.
