Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice(washed) 1 kg
  • Salt as per taste
  • Cabbage(chopped) 1 medium
  • Green Chillies 4-6
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Nigella Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper(ground) 1 tsp
  • Mint Leaves(Chopped) 1 bunch
  • Dalda Cooking Oil 1/2 cup
  • Garnish:
  • Brown Onion
  • Cucumber Slices

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pot, slightly heat Dalda Cooking Oil on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

  2. Add mustard and ingella seeds and when they pop, add cabbage Stir-fry the cabbage for 3-4 minutes, add rice and stir well

  3. Add salt, black pepper, green chillies, mint and ginger and mix well add 4 cups of water, mix well and cover and cook on medium heat

  4. When the water dries, place the pot on a hot griddle, cover and simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes.

  5. Garnish and serve hot.
