Ingredients

  • Gram flour 250 gms
  • Whole grain flour 100 gms
  • White pumpkin (grated) 250 gms
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seed powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  • Salt and ginger
  • Oil as needed
  • Grind together:
  • Green chillies 4
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Ginger 1/4" piece

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix the gram flour, whole grain flour, ground green spice, dry spice powder, grated pumpkin and 2 tbsp oil.

  2. Add salt and sugar, knead well.

  3. Spread the mixture on a greased plate and steam till cooked.

  4. Cut into cubes.

  5. Heat 3 tbsp oil.

  6. Add mustard seeds and asafoetida.

  7. When mustard seeds pop, pour over the muthia.
