Ingredients

  • Sweet potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Coconut (grated) 1
  • Cardamoms (crushed) 5
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Sugar 1, 1/2 cup
  • Khoya 1/4 kg
  • Cashew nuts 10
  • Ghee 1/4 cup
  • Cardemom essence 1/2 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil sweet potatoes, skin and mash.

  2. Add milk and cook stirring till it becomes a thick paste.

  3. Keep aside. Make a syrup of sugar.

  4. When it becomes one string consistency, add the cooked sweet potato.

  5. Cook, adding the ghee every 2 minutes.

  6. Add the grated coconut, crushed cardamom, essence, khoya and cook well.

  7. When it starts leaving the pan, pour into a greased tray.

  8. Garnish with nuts and cut into diamond shapes and serve.
