Fattoush is the most popular Lebanese salad. It amazing how simple and budget controlled it is, yet it tastes simply scrumptious. The key ingredient in a Fattoush salad is "Sumac", but it is not easily available. In this recipe sumac is replaced with a substitute for convenience. Enjoy!

  • Tomato 1
  • Onion 1
  • Cucumber 1
  • Parsley 2 tbsp
  • Salad leaves 4
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Mint 2 tbsp
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Lemon seasoning powder ½ tsp
  • Pita bread 1/2 to 1

Cooking Directions

  1. Finely chop tomato, onion, cucumber, salad leaves, parsley and coriander.

  2. In a bowl, add olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, lemon seasoning powder and salt.

  3. Mix well and add chopped vegetables.

  4. Now cut one pita bread in squares and deep fry till golden and crisp.

  5. Add the crispy fried pita bread to salad.

  6. Delicious fattoush salad is ready to serve.
