Ingredients

  • Dry dates 250 gm
  • Cardamoms 10 gm
  • Pepper 5 gm
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 500 gm
  • Sugar 1, 1/4 kg
  • Saffron 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  • Chironji 50 gm
  • Raisins 100 gm
  • Almonds 25 gm
  • Dry ginger 5 gm
  • Black pepper 5 gm
  • Mango powder 250 gm
  • Ginger 1" piece
  • Lemons 4
  • Cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Soak and seed the dry dates and cut into small pieces.

  2. Chop the almonds and chironji.

  3. Grind all spices separately.

  4. Prepare a one thread consistency syrup of the sugar.

  5. Add all ingredients.

  6. Add a pinch of salt and lemon juice.

  7. Cool and store in sterilized jars.
