Ingredients

  • Fish Marination:
  • Fish (red snapper) 800g
  • Garlic (paste) 5-6 cloves
  • Vinegar or lemon juice 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt according to taste
  • Fish Batter:
  • Eggs 2
  • Soy sauce 2.5 - 3.5 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 3-3.5 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Chicken powder 1 tsp
  • Fine flour (there is no set ratio)
  • Corn flour (there is no set ratio)
  • Tarter sauce:
  • Home made mayonnaise
  • Black pepper 1/4th tsp
  • Pickle cubes (cucumbers) 2-3
  • Chips:
  • Potato (big) 3
  • Rice four 2 tbsp (or as required)
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilies 1/2 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Fish marination:

  2. Take red snapper fish, cut in finger shape. 

  3. Add garlic paste, vinegar & salt, mix them well.

  4. Keep it in fridge for sometime.

  5. Fish batter:

  6. Add eggs in a bowl & beat them. 

  7. Now add soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper & chicken powder in above mixture. 

  8. Now mix well, do not add any water. 

  9. Add fine flour and cornflour in equal quantity.

  10. Add 2 tsp mayda and 2 tsp cornflour & mix.

  11. Add 3 tsp mayda and 3 tsp cornflour & mix.

  12. You need to keep adding them in equal amount till they get a bit stiff.

  13. Now put fish in batter and roll in bread crumbs.

  14. Deep fry the fish. 

  15. Don't stir too much while frying.

  16. Tarter sacue: 

  17. Take home made mayonaise, add 1/4 tsp kali mirch, add pickle cubes of 2-3 cucumbers. and mix well.

  18. Chips:

  19. Boil the potatoes & cut them in thick slices.

  20. Take rice flour & sprinkle on the potatoes.

  21. Add salt & red chilies, toss it .

  22. Then add little quantity of water, toss a bit.

  23. Add some water (if required) and toss.

  24. We need to add water till it coat the things well. 

  25. Deep fry them.

  26. Serve the finger fish with chips & tarter sauce.
