Mince meat stuffed with boiled eggs is a very popular Pakistani dish Known commonly as Nargisi Koftae. This dish sounds exotic and tastes outgoing. Add it to a dinner party menu let all friends and family enjoy the graceful curry.

Ingredients

  • For Koftae:
  • Eggs 8 (boiled)
  • Beef/mutton 1kg (without fat and finely cut)
  • Onions 2 (browned)
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • White Cumin 1 tsp
  • Almonds 6(sautéed)
  • Whole black pepper 8
  • Salt to taste
  • Roasted Chickpeas powder 2 tbsp
  • Black cumin 1 tsp
  • Small cardamom 8
  • Red chili 1 tsp (crushed)
  • For curry:
  • Red chili 1tbsp (ground)
  • All spice powder 1tsp
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Onions 3 (finely chopped)
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Coriander 2 tbsp (powdered)
  • Green cardamom 4
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. For Koftae: In a chopper add raw meat, brown onions and all the koftae masala mentioned above in a chopper.

  2. Grease your hand, take a bit of the meat mixture and spread on your palm.

  3. Place the egg onto the flattened meat and wrap it around.

  4. Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the eggs.

  5. Now take a frying pan and heat some oil.

  6. On a low flame fry the koftas till they turn golden brown.

  7. For curry: In a large skillet heat oil and fry onions till they turn golden brown.

  8. Now blend together fried onion and yogurt.

  9. In the same skillet fry cardamoms for a couple of minute, add ginger garlic paste, coriander, all spice powder, red chili, salt and then yogurt mixture.

  10. When oil forms a layercslowly add in the koftas.

  11. Pour in a warm glass of water and simmer for minutes.

  12. To serve take a large serving dish, first pour the masala then slice the koftas lengthwise.

  13. Place them on top of the masala.

  1. AASIA BATOOL, roll eggs in dry plain flour first then wrap them with mince and fry. Hope it will work.
