This Recipe is toally differnt from other Biryani.As it is the family recipe from my father side.This biryani is realy tasty and healthy, less oil is used so its easy to digest.Hope you all like my recipe.

  • Rice 3 to 4 cups
  • Water for boiling
  • Chicken 1 kilo or whole chicken cut in small pieces
  • Yougart 4 cups
  • Green Chilie 10 to 15
  • Mint 1 bunch
  • Black Pepper 1tbs
  • Salt as required
  • Lemon 6 to 8 as liked
  • Onion 1big
  • oil 1/4 cup
  • Black or White Zeera which ever available 2tsp
  • Orange food colur 1/4tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Soak rice in water.

  2. Boil the rice in water with 3tsp of salt.

  3. In frying pan fry onion till brown.

  4. In bowl add yougart, salt, black pepper, lemon, green chilies grounded, mint half a bunch.

  5. Now add chicken in it and mix well.

  6. In pot now put marinated chicken pieces without sause and cook chicken on medium flame till its cooked.

  7. In big pot add cooked chiken and sause cook on high flame till sause mix up with chicken.

  8. Now layer up rice on chiken, then fried onion with oil, zeera, food colour and mint.

  9. Keep it on low flame with lid on pot for 5min.

  10. After 10min mix it well.

  11. Biryani is ready to serve.
