  • Masoor Dal 1 pao
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Water 2 cups
  • Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Haldi 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Green chillies 2-3
  • Tamarind paste 1/2 cup
  • Baghar:
  • Ghee 3/4 cup
  • Crushed Garlic 1tsp
  • Curry Patha 15-20
  • Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
  • White Cumin 1 tsp
  • Red Chillies Whole 6-7
  • Coriander for garnish

Cooking Directions

  1. In a Pan add all the ingredients except tamarind paste.

  2. Once the dal is cooked, remove from heat and let it cool.

  3. In a blender add the dal and imli paste and blend till smooth.

  4. To make the bhagar, heat the ghee in a pan, add crushed garlic and curry patha, mustard seeds, white cumin and red chillies and cook till the garlic is golden brown, add over the dal as well as chopped up green.

  5. Garnish with 2 whole green chillis and cover and garnish with coriander
