Yummy jalebi is now prepared at home by following these simple steps. Its taste is extremely delicious and the garnishing of silver leaf and pistachio is also very attractive to the eye.

Ingredients

  • Fine flour 250 gm
  • Rongalite (rang kaat) one pinch
  • Yellow food color one pinch
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Clarified oil for frying
  • Silver leaf as desired
  • Almonds 50 gm (chopped)
  • For Sugar Syrup:
  • Sugar 1 kg
  • Water ½ kg
  • Green cardamoms 4

Cooking Directions

  1. In a bowl add fine flour, rongalite, baking powder, and yellow food color.

  2. Mix it properly and set aside for half an hour.

  3. Then in a skillet add sugar, water and green cardamoms, cook to prepare sugar syrup.

  4. After this put fine flour mixture in a piping bag and start making circle shape jalebi in hot clarified oil.

  5. When it is fried take it out and keep in the sugar syrup for 20 minutes.

  6. In the end garnished with silver leafs and almonds.

  1. Rongalite or rang kaat is edible chemical its available from the shop where you buy edible color etc rang kaat is substitue ingredient of yeast uses for active reaction in mithai/sweets and it is like white powder.
