Ingredients

  • Gol gappy 24
  • Potatoes 2 (boiled and cubed)
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Yogurt 2 cup (whipped)
  • Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Sev 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Sweet and spicy chatni ½ cup
  • For Sweet Chatni:
  • Dates ½ cup
  • Tamarind pulp ½ cup
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Red pepper 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Spicy Chatni:
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Green chilies 6
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice ¼ cup
  • Garlic ½ tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Sweet Chatni: Soak dates in water for 1 hour remove seeds and grind them with tamarind pulp, sugar, salt and red pepper blend together.

  2. Cook for 5 minutes, remove and cool.

  3. Spicy Chatni: Put all together in blender and blend well.

  4. For Dahi Batata Puri: Peel and mashed potatoes, add salt and chat masala and keep aside.

  5. Beat yogurt with sugar and salt, arrange gol gappa on serving platter.

  6. Make a hole in centre of each puri.

  7. Fill with mash potato and yogurt.

  8. Top with sweet and spicy chatni.

  9. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves, serve immediately.
