Ingredients

  • Mince (chicken, mutton or beef) ½ kg
  • Onions 2 medium (sliced)
  • Ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 3 (skinless and chopped)
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp, crushed (can use powder too)
  • Red pepper flakes 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Plain flour 1 tbsp
  • Oil or clarified butter 3 tbsp
  • For Garnishing:
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Green chilies
  • Ginger juliennes

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil mince with onions, ginger garlic paste, salt and 1/2 cup of water for 20 minutes at low flame until all the water dries. For beef mince it will take 30 minutes.

  2. On another stove heat oil in a pan, add tomatoes and cover till tender.

  3. When oil separate from tomatoes, add boiled mince and all the spices (you added salt while boiling).

  4. Add yogurt and stir continuously.

  5. When all the water dries add flour and about a cup of water, mix continuously and turn off the flame.

  6. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves, green chilies and ginger.

  7. Serve with parathas/puri.
