Rainbow Cake - A very colorful cake to cheer up your summer evening. Pretty rainbow colors layered and swirled in a cake. You can change the colors to your liking and garnish it according to your taste. Just make sure you have serve it cold.

Ingredients

  • Eggs 5
  • Sugar (powdered) 10 tbsp
  • All purpose flour 10 tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence 2 tsp
  • Food color (red, blue, green, orange, yellow) 1/4 tsp each
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • For Icing:
  • Rich cream 2 cup
  • Sugar (powder) 1/2 cup
  • Colored cake vermicelli 1/4 cup
  • Chocolate chips 1/4 cup
  • Water (warm) 4 tbsp
  • Strawberry jam 4 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy (approximately 15-20 minutes).

  2. Add Vanilla essence and continue beating for a minute.

  3. Take a deep bowl and fold in the flour.

  4. Take 5 small bowls and add 1/4 tsp food color (red, blue, green, orange, yellow) in each.

  5. Divide the mixture equally in 5 color bowls. Take 8 inch round pan and grease it with butter.

  6. One by one add all the mixture into the pan.

  7. In the end take a fork and slightly move inside the pan to mix all colors a little bit.

  8. Don’t mix it too much else you won’t get to see all the colors.

  9. Place the pan into pre-heated oven for 30-40 minutes.

  10. Mix jam and water for making jam syrup.

  11. After cake is done let it cool for a while then slice cake from between and add the jam syrup layer.

  12. Whip fresh cream and add sugar together.

  13. Put a thin layer of cream on syrup layer and put back the upper top slice of the cake.

  14. Now pour all the cream on top of cake, dress it with colored vermicelli and chocolate chips.

  15. Before serving refrigerate for an hour.
