Ingredients

  • Mutton brains 4
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper 2 tbsp (crushed)
  • Red chilli powder ½ tbsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Chopped green Chili 2 - 3 (garnish)

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash brains and then remove its membranes by immersing in boiled water for 2 - 3 minutes.(In this manner membrane could be removed easily)

  2. Now cut brain it into small pieces.

  3. Take a small skillet and heat oil, add turmeric , red chili, black pepper and ginger garlic.

  4. Add a dash of water to fry the spices for few minutes till the oil floats.

  5. Add brain pieces, mix well with spices and then add about quarter cup of water.

  6. Allow it to cook for 10 - 12 minutes, do not stir.

  7. When the water evaporates it is ready, dish out and garnish with green chili.

  8. Serves best with naan or paratha.
