Cut chicken in small cubes and keep aside.
Heat oil in wok add chopped onion and saute.
Add ginger garlic paste and chicken cubes fry for 2 minutes.
Now put green cardamoms, bay leaves, cloves and whole red chilli also.
Lower the flame and add red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin, boiled and chopped tomatoes and 1 cup water.
Cover the pan and let it cook on low flame.
Remove the lid after 8 to 10 minutes and add salt.
Peel small onion, cut from the middle and add.
Cover and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes till the onion softens.
