Ingredients

  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Onion 1 (medium,chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamom 6 - 8
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Cloves 5 – 6
  • Whole red chili 4 - 5
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes 3 (boiled and chopped)
  • Coriander for garnishing
  • Salt as required
  • Small onion 4
  • Water 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut chicken in small cubes and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil in wok add chopped onion and saute.

  3. Add ginger garlic paste and chicken cubes fry for 2 minutes.

  4. Now put green cardamoms, bay leaves, cloves and whole red chilli also.

  5. Lower the flame and add red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin, boiled and chopped tomatoes and 1 cup water.

  6. Cover the pan and let it cook on low flame.

  7. Remove the lid after 8 to 10 minutes and add salt.

  8. Peel small onion, cut from the middle and add.

  9. Cover and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes till the onion softens.

  10. Dish out and sprinkle green coriander leaves delicious Chicken Piyaza is ready to serve.
