Ingredients

  • Rice 1 & 1/2 cup (soaked in water just 15-20 minutes)
  • Red lentil 1/2 cup(soaked in water just 15-20 minutes)
  • fresh Onion 1 small (sliced)
  • whole spices mixed
  • white cumin 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp heaped
  • Oil / ghee 1/2 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pot heat up cooking oil and add mix whole spices.

  2. Then fry onion rings in ghee or oil until light brown.

  3. Add 1/4 water also add cumin seeds and turmeric powder.

  4. Now add  Soaked rice,lentil and salt with 2 cups of water and cook it low heat.

  5. When water is evaporated completely cover the lid keep it like this for 10 mins on low heat.

  6. Serve with Curry.
