Ingredients

  • Pomfret 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger paste 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic paste 2 teaspoons
  • Yogurt 3/4 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Caraway seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Gram flour 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • Butter 2 tablespoons

Cooking Directions

  1. Gut & Wash the pomfrets.

  2. Make incisions on both sides and rub in salt and lemon juice.

  3. Set aside for twenty minutes.

  4. Grind ginger & garlic to a fine paste.

  5. Mix rest of the ingredients except butter.

  6. Rub the mixture over the fish and leave to marinate for about one hour in the refrigerator.

  7. Thread each pomfret on a skewer and cook it in moderate hot tandoor for about eight to ten minutes.

  8. Baste with butter and cook for another three minutes.

  9. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
