  • Taro (Arvi) 1/2 kg
  • Medium-sized radishes 3
  • Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 1-2 tsp
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Remove the skin from the taro and chop lengthwise into four pieces.

  2. Slit radishes into half and cut long thin pieces.

  3. Fry the taro.

  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil.

  5. Fry carom seeds and cumin seeds.

  6. Add the radish pieces.

  7. Fry till golden brown.

  8. Add all the other spices except for mango powder.

  9. Add the fried taro pieces, salt and a little water to cook the vegetables.

  10. When done, add the mango powder and cook a little more.
