Ingredients

  • Potatoes 600 gms
  • Blanched almonds 75 gms
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Curd 200 gms
  • Bay leaves 3
  • Kashmiri chillies 3
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel and wash potatoes.

  2. Prick each with a long fork so that the fork goes through to the other side.

  3. Then deep fry till potatoes are golden brown.

  4. Cut the almonds lengthwise and roast them.

  5. Then insert these in the potatoes.

  6. Heat 2 tbsp butter and add the spices.

  7. Stir well till the gravy is rich in color.

  8. Add the fried potatoes, well beaten curd, sugar and salt.

  9. Simmer till the potatoes are soft and the gravy coats them properly.
