Mughal king "Muhammad Shah Rangila" was very fond of chicken. Chicken dishes used to be an essential item on his dining table. Keeping this in view, his chef prepared chicken pakoras for him. Muhammad Shah Rangila liked the dish so much that he gifted his precious diamond necklace to the chef.

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken ½ kg (large cubes)
  • Gram flour 2 cups
  • Cumin 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Coriander 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Citric acid 1 tsp
  • Pomegranate seeds 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Coriander and mint leaves 1/4 bunch

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine gram flour, chicken, coriander leaves, mint leaves and all the spices in a bowl.

  2. Add water to it and make a thick mixture.

  3. Now drop a tablespoon full in hot cooking oil till golden.

  4. Sieve out on absorbent paper.

  5. Serve pakoras with French fries and mint chutney.
