  • Vanilla pudding and pie filling mix 1 package
  • Milk 1 1/2 cups
  • Strawberries 3 cups (sliced)
  • Peach 1 (peeled & cubed)
  • Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Pound cake loaf 8 ounces (frozen)
  • Peach or strawberry preserves 1/4 cup
  • Orange juice 2 tbsp
  • Whipped cream 1/2 cup
  • Slivered almonds 1/4 cup (roasted)
  • Fresh peach 1 (peeled & sliced)

Cooking Directions

  1. Make pudding mix according to package directions, using 1 1/2 cups milk. Wrap with plastic on top of pudding. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until chilled.

  2. Mix strawberries, peach and sugar. Keep on room temperature for 15 minutes.

  3. Cut pound cake horizontally in half. Spread preserves over bottom half. Top with top half. Cut into 8 slices.

  4. Drizzle with orange juice. Place 4 slices in 2 quart straight-sided glass bowl. Add half of strawberry mixture over cake.

  5. Beat whipping cream in chilled bowl with electric beater until stiff. Fold whipped cream into pudding.

  6. Spoon half of pudding mixture over strawberries. Repeat layers with remaining cake, strawberry mixture and pudding mixture. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.

  7. Just before serving, sprinkle with almonds and top with sliced peaches.
