  • Whole milk 250 gm (dried)
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Condensed milk 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Plain flour 2 cups
  • Butter 2 cups
  • Few drops of kewra essence
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 2 tsp
  • For Topping:
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Butter 1 cup
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Cashew nut ½ cup
  • Almonds ½ cup
  • Pistachio ½ cup
  • Few drops of kewra essence

Cooking Directions

  1. In a bowl, add sugar and butter and beat well.

  2. Then add whole dried milk, condensed milk, baking powder, baking soda and few drops of kewra essence and mix well.

  3. Now add plain flour and milk to requirement and beat to form a smooth batter.

  4. Grease a mould with some butter and pour batter into it.

  5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180c for 30 to 35 minutes.

  6. In a mixing bowl, add cream and sugar and beat well.

  7. Top the sides of the cake with this cream.

  8. Cook remaining sugar and water till it get thicker.

  9. Then add a few drops of kewra essence, almonds, pistachios and cashew nuts and mix.

  10. Pour it on the centre of the cake and spread evenly.

  11. Bombay cake is ready to serve and enjoy.
