  • Rice 1 kg
  • Chana dal 1/2 cup
  • Urad dal 1/2 cup
  • Wheat 1/4 cup
  • Bajra 1/4 cup
  • Cumin seeds 2 tsps
  • Coriander seeds 2 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon sticks 2
  • Cloves 8
  • Peppercorns 10
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies 2
  • Oil for frying
  • Curd 1/4 cup
  • Onions 2

Cooking Directions

  1. Roast the cereals and dry masala separately and grind finely.

  2. Mix the flour with chopped onions, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder and chilli powder, the ground masala and salt.

  3. Add curd and a little oil and mix with water to make the dough.

  4. Pat into round shapes and deep fry till crisp.

  5. Serve with home-made butter.
