Ingredients

  • Sugar 4 tsp
  • Pumpkin pie spice 1 tsp
  • Apple turnovers 12.5 oz (package pepperidge farm)
  • Butter 4 tsp (melted)
  • Caramel sauce 1 cup (prepared)
  • Candied ginger ¼ cup (finely chopped crystallized)
  • Dried cranberries ¼ cup (finely chopped)
  • Sweetener (whipped cream optional)

Cooking Directions

  1. In a small bowl mix sugar and pumpkin pie spice.

  2. Brush the apple turnovers with melted butter and sprinkle with the sugar mixture.

  3. Bake and cool the turnovers according to the package directions.

  4. Heat the caramel sauce, ginger and cranberries in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat until the mixture is hot.

  5. Serve the turnovers with the sauce.

  6. If desired, top with the whipped cream and serve.
