Fudge is a extremely rich and sweet Western confectionery and can be turned in to pouring sauce. Thick, glossy, velvety smooth fudge sauce is easy and quick to make. A drizzle of homemade hot fudge sauce will give a completely new taste and live to your ice cream, shake, cake and other desserts.

Ingredients

  • Cream 3/4 cup
  • Butter 1/4 cup unsalted, cubed
  • Salt 1 Pinch
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Light corn syrup 2 tbsp
  • water 2 tbsp
  • Semi-sweet chocolate 9 ounces, finely chopped
  • Pure vanilla 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, cook sugar, corn syrup and water while stirring until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Increase heat to high and bring the mixture to a full rolling boil.

  3. Cook without stirring until it turns dark amber in color. (approximately 1 to 2 minutes)

  4. Remove the pan from the heat and carefully pour the cream mixture into the sugar mixture.

  5. Put the chocolate in a large heatproof bowl.

  6. Pour the hot sugar mixture and cream over the chocolate.

  7. Add the vanilla and whisk until smooth.

  8. Serve the hot fudge sauce warm.

  1. Sadaf, yes you can use cocoa powder instead of semi sweet chocolate. But you will have to adjust the quantity of cocoa and sugar accordingly.
