Did you know? Patties are a northern food, from the North-East of England. They are thought to have originated in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England where they are readily available. The original pattie is a mix of mashed potato and sage blended together and made into a disc or square shape, then covered in batter and fried, much like a fish cake.
