Hafiz Ka Multani Sohan Halwa - The Royal Dessert, to serve his royal visitors, 1750’s ruler of Multan, Dewan Sawan invented an appetizing sweet. After more than a century of its invention, in 1930, Hafiz Ahmed Din initiated a tiny business of manufacturing “This Royal Dessert” in his cottage to support his primary undertaking of “Qur’an School”.

  1. dear tahir salam arz........i am thinking about my M.Sc research topic.as i m a food technology student, from D.I.Khan and sohan halwa is also a soghat of DIKhan. but there is no literature about history of sohan hlwa except hafiz's website.figure of 1750 is fact or fake.your cooperation wil be highly appreciated.....thanx

  3. As'salam Aliakum,I tried the recipe but didn't turn out right. The halwa was too dry and didn't get the brown color. I used citric acid for the lemon salt because it's hard to find lemon salt here. Please let me know what went wrong. :(
