A famous and widely eaten in Lahore & thru out Pakistan, Chana Pathory, a breakfast delicacy. Pathoray is like Puri, except it's thicker because there is daal mixed in it. It is served with Chollay. There are tons of Phathoray shops at Fane Road right behind High Court Lahore.

  10. I agree it is lengthy. Here are the ingredients and whatever I remember from the show as far as instruction goes: Cholay: 2 cups uncooked kabuli chana (soak for several hours, and boil with 2 pinches baking soda and 1/4 cup masoor dal until tender and dal ghul jayay). In 4 tbsp cooking oil saute 1 chopped onion, 1 tbsp ginger, 2-3 tomatoes and kind of bhoono it. Add 1 tsp ground black cardamom (kali ilaychee), 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp toasted cumin seeds, 2 tsp lal mirch, 1.5 tbsp anardana, and 2.5 tsp dried methi, and salt to taste. After the masala is done you add the chana/dal mixture and cook it well (but not so the chanay get mashed). She garnished with a mixture of what looked like cilantro, onion and tomato.
